Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I’m seeing a Not Authorized page when I try to log in.
There are several reasons you may be receiving this error screen. The three most common are explained on the Not Authorized screen. Please refer to the details on the screen for guidance. Several additional reasons you might see this error:
- Your browser is backed up. Try clearing your browsing data (opens in new tab) and log in again.
- Network traffic issues. Occasionally, the login traffic gets backed up between systems. Wait 15-20 minutes and try logging in again.
I’ve tried Duo authentication multiple times and see an error that says my account has been “disabled”.
This error does not refer to your Brightspace account, but to the Duo Security system. It's possible that you haven't set up your DuoSecurity (or it has expired). The Instructional Technology team is unable to help with the NetID and Duo Push process. Those are part of the university's security system, which is run by the University Information Technology Services. You can contact the 24/7 Support Center (opens in new tab) for help. You may also want to visit their NetID+ help page (opens in new tab).
