MacOS Users: Screen Share Settings
If you encounter difficulties enabling Screen Sharing while using an online proctoring tool, it's advisable to review and adjust your operating system's settings.

The steps below reflect macOS Catalina version 10.15 onward. Labeling or steps may differ on other macOS versions.
Enable Screen Recording for Google Chrome
Step 1
Select the macOS System Settings.
Step 2
Select Privacy & Security and then select Screen & System Audio Recording.
Step 3
Ensure the toggle next to Google Chrome is enabled to record the content on your screen. If Google Chrome does not appear, continue to Step 4.
If the toggle for Google Chrome was already enabled and screen sharing is not working, please view Reset Google Chrome Permission.
Note
Before you can make adjustments to settings, your system's password may be required.
Step 4
If Google Chrome does not appear on the list of application allowed to record content, select the Addition Button under Screen & System Audio Recording section.
Step 5
From the list of applications, select Google Chrome and select Open.
Step 6
For the changes to take place Google Chrome will need to restart, when prompted select Quit & Reopen.
Reset Google Chrome Permission
If Google Chrome was enabled to record content, but it's not working you will have to reset the permission. This can be caused by system and/or applications updates. Follow the steps below to remove and add Google Chrome.
Step 1
Select Privacy & Security and then select Screen & System Audio Recording.
Step 2
From Screen & System Audio Recording, select Google Chrome, then select the Minus Button.
Note
Before you can make adjustments to settings, your system's password may be required.
Step 3
Now you'll add Google Chrome again, select the Addition Button under Screen & System Audio Recording
Step 4
From the list of applications, select Google Chrome and select Open.
Step 5
For the changes to take place Google Chrome will need to restart, when prompted select Quit & Reopen.
