Check Your Work with Turnitin

This course is intended for checking student coursework ONLY - this includes dissertations and theses if enrolled in a course.

Register for the Course

Step 1

Log into Brightspace at https://d2l.arizona.edu/

Step 2

Select the Discover link in the navbar.

Step 3

Enter "Turnitin" in the search box and either press Return (Enter) or select the magnifying glass to start the search.

Step 4

You should see the Turnitin: Check your work course in the search results. Select the course to continue.

If you don't see it, it is likely that you are already enrolled . Skip to step 7 below. 

Step 5

Select the Enroll in Course button.

Step 6

You will see a notification that you have been successfully enrolled. Select OK to continue.

Step 7

You can now open the course. To locate the course in the future, look in the Discover tab in the My Courses Widget on your Brightspace homepage. 

Submit Your Document

The course consists of one activity, an assignment. To check your paper, follow these steps to submit to this assignment. A Turnitin Similarity report is returned usually within 20 minutes.

Step 1

Select Assignments in the navbar.

Step 2

Select Check your papers for plagiarism.

Step 3

Select the Add a File button and either navigate to the file saved on your computer or drag and drop the file to the drop area.

Step 4

Select the Add button.

Step 5

Select Submit.

Step 6

Once you have submitted, view your similarity report.
