Start A Zoom Meeting as Host

If you are the meeting host, there are several ways to start a meeting you've scheduled. As the host, you can start the meeting from the Zoom web portal, from your Brightspace course, or from the Zoom client.

Start Meeting from Web Portal

Step 1

Within a web browser, navigate and sign in to the University of Arizona Zoom web portal (opens in a new tab).

Step 2

Select Meetings in the navigation menu.

Step 3

Within the Upcoming tab, locate your scheduled meeting and select the Start button for that meeting.

Step 4

The Zoom client should launch automatically to start the meeting.

Start Meeting from Brightspace

To start a meeting that you have scheduled from within your Brightspace course, follow these instructions.

Step 1

In a web browser, navigate and sign in to the Brightspace Homepage (opens in a new tab).

Step 2

Select the appropriate Brightspace course from the list of My Courses.

Step 3

From the course Navbar, select the UA Tools menu option and then select Zoom.

Step 4

Within the Upcoming Meetings tab, locate your scheduled meeting and select the Start button for that meeting.

Step 5

The Zoom client should launch automatically to start the meeting.

Start Meeting from Zoom Client

Step 1

Open and sign in to the Zoom client.

Step 2

Select the Meetings tab.

Step 3

Under the Upcoming tab, select the meeting you want to start. Additional options will appear for that meeting. Select the Start button for that meeting.

Step 4

The Zoom client should launch automatically to start the meeting.
