Answer Top Hat Questions: In Class

Use a Web Browser to Answer In-Class Questions
Step 1
Log into app.tophat.com (opens in new tab).
Step 2
Enter the desired course. If you have not yet joined the Top Hat course, please visit our Join a Top Hat Course help page for instructions.
Step 3
Start by making sure the Classroom tab is selected in the upper-left section of the screen.
Step 4
The presented questions will appear in the content tree on the left side of the screen under the Questions & Attendance header. Once you select the question, it will appear in the preview pane in the center of your screen.
Step 5
Choose your response, then select Submit in the lower-right corner of the question tile.
Note
- If you do not select the Submit button, your answer will not be saved.
- Answers can be changed after submitting by selecting your new choice, then selecting Resubmit. Your response will not be locked until your instructor closes the question.
Use The Top Hat Mobile App to Answer In-Class Questions
Step 1
Log into the Top Hat - Better Learning mobile app, available for iOS and Android.
Step 2
Enter the desired course. If you have not yet joined the Top Hat course, please visit our Join a Top Hat Course help page for instructions.
Step 3
Start by making sure the Classroom tab is selected at the bottom of the screen. The question will appear in the main body of the screen under the Presenting header.
Step 4
Select the question, choose your response, and select Submit.
Note
- If you do not select the Submit button, your answer will not be saved.
- Answers can be changed after submitting by selecting your new choice, then selecting Resubmit. Your response will not be locked until your instructor closes the question.
